A man who the police say ran away from the scene of a fatal motorcycle accident that took place early on Thursday morning on Highway 290 has been charged with fleeing the scene of the accident. Cahleb Shane Moser, 45, was arraigned in court the night before in connection with the accident on one count of felony intoxication manslaughter and one count of failing to stop and render aid at the site of an accident. Moser was apprehended thanks to the assistance of a good Samaritan, according to the Houston Police Department.
The accounts state that the good Samaritan stayed behind Moser’s truck until he pulled off of Louetta Road and stopped. Moser allegedly exhibited signs of intoxication before being brought into custody without any resistance by the police. Moser was already free on bond in connection with an earlier DWI event that took place in June, as indicated by the records from the court, when the most recent incident occurred.
