- by James Lucas
Alan Casey Obituary, Death Cause – On May 5th, 2023, the Dorset Fire Department was faced with the unthinkable prospect of having to bid farewell to one of their own. Alan Casey, 57 years old, had been a volunteer firefighter with the Dorset Fire Department for a significant amount of time. He passed away on May 5th. He has been a volunteer with the organization for over thirty years and has served as the department’s Chief of Firefighters at one point in his career.
He had a plethora of expertise in the fire department, notably in the field of transporting water “adequately and effectively” at fire situations. His experience was particularly valuable. Because of his extensive experience, we were all able to pick up quite a deal of information from him, which proved to be quite beneficial to the entire department. In addition to the Dorset Fire Department, Alan was a member of a number of other rescue organizations, including the Manchester Rescue Squad and Arlington Rescue.
Alan spent the majority of his life putting the requirements of others ahead of his own and dedicating himself to serving others. As a result of the excellent impact he had on the community, a great number of people looked up to him as an example to emulate. Because it was an honor for each and every one of us to serve with him, we are going to miss him very much.
