Alyssa Harka Obituary, Death Cause – At the age of thirty, Alyssa Kristine (Bernardo) Harka passed away at St. Luke’s Hospital in Fountain Hill on May 2, 2023. She called Fountain Hill her home and was a resident there. Since the 9th of October, 2021, she and the loyal Cory Harka had been living together as husband and wife in wedded bliss. She was the daughter of Joaquim Bernardo and Paula (Bernardo) Nguyen, both of whom were born and raised in Bethlehem. Bethlehem is the city where she was born.
Alyssa graduated from Saucon Valley High School in the year 2010 and was a part of the school’s class of that year. After that, she pursued her schooling at Northampton Community College, Lehigh Carbon County Community College, and most recently, DeVry University, where she is currently finishing up her degree in medical billing and coding and was named to the Dean’s list. She has been quite successful throughout her academic career. Alyssa was a member of the Holy Infancy Catholic Church in Bethlehem, which is also where she went to church on a regular basis.
Her happiest times were spent dancing, swimming, and visiting amusement parks with her family while they were on vacation. Alyssa prioritized her role as a nurturing and affectionate mother to her two girls above all else. She did this because it brought her a great deal of joy to do so. A funeral ceremony will be held on Monday, May 8, 2023 at 8 o’clock in the evening at the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home located at 500 Linden Street Bethlehem, Pennsylvania 18018. The family will receive friends and relatives beginning at 6 o’clock in the evening and continuing up until the time of the service.
