Amy Alderfer Obituary, Death Cause – On September 10, 2022, Amy Alderfer departed this world to be with the Lord in his heavenly abode. David resided in Newport Meadows Nursing Home for the duration of the final two years of his protracted fight against Parkinson’s disease. The family would want to extend their gratitude to all of the staff members that assisted them and who enjoyed his humor and generosity.

Vivian (Seyfert) Alderfer, David’s wife of 41 years, survives him in East Nottingham, Pennsylvania. He is also survived by his son Dana Alderfer in Harleysville, Pennsylvania; his daughter Tiffany (Jim) Boyer and grandchildren Drew, Seth, and Tate in Lancaster, Pennsylvania; his stepsons Brett (Rachel) Fair and grandchildren Kathryn and Emma in Charleston, South Carolina; and Bryan (Suzanne) Fair and grandchildren Zoe and Samuel in T His two older brothers, Robert Alderfer and Leon Alderfer, both passed away before him.

David spent his childhood in Harleysville, Pennsylvania, working with his father in the family’s produce company. His parents, Paul K. and Mary (Clemons), both passed away. After completing his high school education at Souderton in 1961, he went straight into the workforce by taking a job at Union National Bank. After some time had passed, he began working for WORD Music, where he eventually rose through the ranks to become the East Coast Regional Manager.

He enjoyed representing Christian musicians like Amy Grant, Michael W. Smith, Sandy Patti, and Bill Gaither very much, and he enjoyed interacting with them as well. David’s other interests besides cars included sports (namely the Eagles and Phillies), especially baseball. After he retired, he found work as a salesman for Hershey Motors in Parkesburg, Pennsylvania, and he thoroughly enjoyed it. Above all else, David was very active in the ministry that he and Vivian had established, which was called Set Free to Set Free. They banded together to support people from all walks of life who were battling significant problems and offered their assistance. Vivian is carrying on the work that they started back in the 1990s.
