Born in Providence, Rhode Island, he spent his entire life in Warwick before making the move to South Kingstown in 2013. His parents, the late Arthur V. Moretti and Eva D. (Tetrault), called Warwick home. Tony was a cherished father to his daughter Lisa M. Barone and her husband Joseph Barone, Jr., as well as to his son Michael A.

Moretti and his fiancé’, Lena Ngor. Tony also had a son named Michael A. Moretti and a daughter named Lisa M. Barone. In addition, he was the older brother to his three sisters, Victoria Briggs and her husband Skip of Scituate, Theresa Moretti of Warwick, and Anna Dill of Oregon. He was a big brother to all of them. He was the brother of John Moretti, who passed away, as well as Michael Moretti, who also died. In addition, he is predeceased by his two granddaughters, Annabelle and Genevieve Barone, both of whom had a deep affection for their Gampy.

Before Tony took his retirement in 2005, he had worked for the state of Rhode Island as a mental health professional for more than thirty years.
