There is where he was laid to rest. Barry was a good friend of the Club, and he would frequently come to watch us play bowls while secretly smoking a cigarette in one of the farthest corners of the room. It did not make a difference to him whether the game was for fun or whether it counted towards the pennant; he was always present. When he leaves, everyone will miss him in their own special and distinct way, but in their own particular way.
This letter was sent to bring his passing to your attention so that you may express your condolences and pay your respects. His passing has been brought to your attention. Because I do not have any other choice but to proceed in this manner, I am filled to the brim with an overwhelming sense of regret. The wake and burial took place at Durham Ox on April 27 (the day before yesterday), which was the date of the funeral service.
I am hoping that tonight you, Barry, will have a night of sleep that is rejuvenating and restful. When we go to that location, one of our top priorities will be to look for you among the other people who are there.
