Bob Neumeier Obituary, Death Cause – Bob Neumeier, who was 73 years old and from Springfield, passed away at his home on Saturday, December 18, 2021, at 12:40 in the morning. Bob Lally, the son of Robert Lally, Sr. and Rose Hoffman Lally, was born on May 12, 1948 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. His parents are Robert Lally, Sr. and Rose Hoffman Lally. It was on June 19, 1970, in the Valley Forge Hospital Army Chapel where he tied the knot with Ellen Rhoades.

Bob is a Philadelphia native who received his education at La Salle University. During the Vietnam War, he honorably served his country in the United States Army as a hospital medic after being conscripted into the service. Bob’s employment history includes stints with Barber-Colman Company and Blue Cross Blue Shield, where he held the position of Facility Manager until his retirement.

He was an avid reader and traveler, notably to Jamaica, and he coached youth soccer when he was younger. His hobbies included model trains. Bob was a kind and loving man who deeply cared for his family. His laughter was contagious. He will be sorely missed by everyone. Bob’s grandparents, parents, and brother David Lally, as well as his grandson Rowan Robert, all passed away before him.

He is survived by his wife, Ellen, who lives in Springfield; his daughter, Julie (Jeff) Zilinsky, who lives in Pace, Florida; his son, Douglas (Amy), who lives in Springfield; his grandkids, Owen Zilinsky, Declan and Aria Lally, and Chloe and Carson Franks; and his sisters, Debra Lally and Beth Roberts, who both live in Pennsylvania. There will be family gatherings that are strictly private.
