He appeared to have a comprehensive understanding of a wide range of topics.

Another one of his great loves was cooking. He had a passion for expanding his culinary repertoire and gaining deeper understanding of the art of cooking by reading enormous, in-depth cookbooks. I have no doubt that he was responsible for teaching a great number of people how to cook or for introducing them to a variety of different cuisines and ways to prepare them. Yesterday evening, the person who had previously served as Mayor of Hamilton passed away at the age of 89. Bob was a public servant for 25 years and during that time he was able to make significant contributions to the city of Hamilton. Beginning in the morning of Monday, May 8th, we will have a book of condolences for people to sign that will be available at both the City Hall and the Ancaster Town Hall.
