Chad Morman Obituary, Death Cause – Someone who served in the Iowa National Guard has recently died.At the Violet Hill Cemetery in Perry on May 1st, the body of Staff Sgt. Chad Morman, 39, was laid to rest in the presence of his family, friends, and fellow members of the Iowa National Guard. Morman was killed in a car accident on April 23, 2023, the day he died away. In 2001, he enlisted in the Iowa Army National Guard, and in 2010, he was assigned to serve in Afghanistan with the 334th Brigade Support Battalion.
On November 9th, 1983 in Des Moines, Iowa, Chad Edward Morman was brought into the world by his parents, Dwayne Lee and Frances Johanna (Hinz) Morman. After receiving his diploma from Perry High School, he continued his education at Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge, Iowa, where he earned a degree in carpentry. After that, he got a welding education at DMACC in Perry.
His service medals include the Army Achievement Medal 2nd Award, the National Service Defense Medal, the NATO Medal, the Afghanistan Campaign Medal with 2 Campaign Stars, the Army Good Conduct Medal, the Army Reserve Achievement Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Non-Commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon, the Armed Forces Reserve Medal, and the Iowa National Guard Humanitarian service Ribbon. He also served in the Iowa National Guard.
Morman excelled in all three of his roles: as a soldier, a husband, and a father. We remember the many years he dedicated to serving our country and send our condolences to everyone who knew and loved him.
