Chase Newman Obituary, Death Cause – Wyatt Chase Newman, Jr. On May 5, 2023, Chase passed away and went to live with our Lord in heaven. He was the son of Shane Newman and Melissa Wilson Branham and was born in the state of Columbia. Chase was a high school student at Camden and a member of the Camden Golf Team throughout his time there. In addition to that, he was a member of both the Camden Country Club and the Pleasant Hill Hunt Club, both of which he frequented frequently.

Chase’s presence radiated warmth and joy over the entire building. Everyone he came into contact with benefited greatly from his presence. He cherished his time spent in the great outdoors, his relationships with his friends and family, and his beloved Boykin Spaniel, Millie. He enjoyed a variety of sports, including snow skiing, golf, fishing, and hunting. Surviving are his mother, Melissa Branham (Gene) of Lugoff; father, Shane Newman (Amanda) of Camden; siblings.

Cadence Newman, Griffin Branham, Gage Branham, Madelynn Henderson, Mark Wayne Henderson III, Scarlett Henderson; paternal grandmothers, Jan Greathouse (Donny), Joyce Newman; maternal grandfather, Louis Wilson, Jr. (Crystal); maternal grandmother, Angie Wilson; maternal great grandmother, Thedus Shealy and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Larry Newman, his grandfather on the father’s side, passed away before he was born.
