Corey Lewandowski Obituary, Apple Valley Minnesota Resident Has Died

Corey Lewandowski Obituary, Death Cause – On Wednesday, April 12, 2023, Corey Lewandowski, who resided in Warwick and Block Island, passed away at the age of 82. She was devoted to her role as Reverend Mr. John A. Corey’s wife. She was the daughter of Nazareth Gudoyan, who passed away, and Carmela (La Polla) Gudoyan, who also passed away. She was born in Providence. Joyce attended Blessed Sacrament Elementary School and St. Teresa High School while growing up in Providence, Rhode Island, where she also received her education.

After living on Block Island for 17 years and being an engaged member of the community there, Joyce eventually relocated to Warwick. She held positions as a librarian at the Island Free Library in addition to working at the Narragansett Inn and the Gables Inn. After relocating to the mainland, Joyce found employment with the G. Fox Company, where she served as a Sales Representative for both Cranston Mercantile and The Fabric Place.

She was a part of the Ecumenical Youth Group that was located on Block Island. In addition to that, she was an active participant in the St. Andrew Catholic Guild and the Rhode Island Quilting Society. In her spare time, she enjoyed crafting quilts, which she later gave to the Hasbro Children’s Hospital, as well as oriental carpets and baking for her family and events held in the neighborhood. In addition to her devoted husband, she is survived by her cherished children, John A. Corey (Rhonda) of Warwick and Douglas J. Corey of Wakefield, as well as by her sister Judith DeFrancesco (Ronald) of Exeter and her three grandchildren, Alexander J. Corey, Lara S. Corey, and Nicholas M. Corey. She was the sister of Ann Maccarone, who passed away previously.
