David Meisch Obituary, Resident of LaValle, Wisconsin Has Died

David Meisch Obituary, Death Cause – On Monday, December 26, 2022, David W. “Dave” Meisch, age 75, of LaValle, Wisconsin, formerly of Elburn, Illinois, passed away at peace following a brief stint in the hospital. He had lived in Elburn. On November 17, 1947, Dave Meisch entered the world as the first of five children to be born to the doting parents Robert and Elizabeth (Pintye) Meisch. Dave attended Batavia schools while growing up on a farm on the east side of Batavia.

He went on to graduate from Kaneland High School in 1965. The family farm was located on the east side of Batavia. His upbringing on the farm taught him to get up early, put in long hours of labor, always clean up after himself, maintain organization in all he did, and above all else, to experience life to the fullest. Dave’s sister set him up with his future wife, Donna Erickson, who was also a graduate of KHS; the two hit it off immediately, but their relationship was cut short by the military in 1967.

He was honorably discharged from the Army in 1969 after serving with distinction as a Transportation specialist IV in the Army. In his later years, he bragged with pleasure that his grandson Tre’ had followed in his footsteps and joined the military. Dave kept in touch with Donna by writing her letters on a daily or weekly basis while he was stationed at Fort Leonardwood, overseas in Thailand, then at Fort Bliss. They tied the knot on October 4, 1969, a few months after he completed his military service, and have since gone on to have three children, construct three homes, and celebrate 53 years of marriage together.

They initially established their home in Maple Park, but later moved to Kaneville and Elburn, both located in Illinois. They undertook the renovation of a modest cabin in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, and over the next ten years, the family spent many weekends in the region. They moved to Dutch Hollow Lake in 2005 to start their happily ever after after falling in love with the lake life that Wisconsin has to offer. They were able to add a great number of beloved pals to their list as time went on in DH.
