Eddie Breeden Obituary, Death Cause – On October 16, 1960, Edward O’Neil Breeden was brought into the world by his parents, Edward J. Breeden and Jean P. Breeden. Edward was the fifth of six children, and during his life, he was known by several aliases; however, the ones that were most significant to him were Eddie, Dad, and Poppy. Eddie was a huge sports lover throughout his entire life, whether he was participating in the sport himself or watching his children, nieces, and nephews compete.

His favorite things to do were spend time at the beach, mow the grass, and be with his family any time they were together. Eddie was a man who radiated joy, had a wicked sense of humor, and was filled to the brim with life and love. Eddie’s varied employment history included stints as the owner of his own small business, which went by the name of Breeden’s Texaco and Pool Hall; as an employee of the federal government; as a government contractor; and, lastly, as a custodial engineer for the Greene County School System. On Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at 1:00 p.m., the Breeden family will host a celebration of Edward O. Breeden’s life at the Preddy’s Funeral Home located in Madison, Virginia. We invite you to join us.

Eddie’s mother, Jean P. Breeden, is the only family member to have survived the passing of both Eddie and his father, Edward J. Breeden. He is also survived by his sisters, Deborah Morris (Dale), Charlotte Knight (Lyman), and Janet Lamb; his brothers, Gregory/Tom Dooley (Cindy), and Kenny (Melody); his children, Joshua (CJ), Jacqueline, Jordan (Justin), Jeremy (Kara), and Hannah; along with his five beautiful grandchildren, Mattox, Henry, Myles, HattieBelle, and Maverick; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
