Edward McGonigle Obituary, Founder Of The McGonigle Dental Associates Has Died

On April 10, 2023, Dr. Edward P. McGonigle, who had reached the age of 81, passed away as his family and friends were by his side. His birth took place in Hinsdale, Illinois, on February 26, 1942, and he spent his childhood in the Chicago metropolitan region before settling down in Tinley Park for the rest of his life. Edward’s wife Sharon brought him the utmost happiness throughout his life. They had been blissfully married for fifty years, and Edward always fondly referred to Sharon as “Dolly.” It was a joy for him and his wife, Sharon, to bring up their three children, Robert, Kelley, and Tracy. They collaborated in order to establish a successful dental office in the Southwest suburbs, which has been of service to the Tinley Park community and the surrounding area for more than 48 years.

Edward McGonigleEdward was devoted to both his family and the culture and traditions of the country western genre. He didn’t waste a single day by taking anything for granted. He was well-known for his charitable and compassionate nature, as well as his dedication to helping other people. Over the course of his more than four decades of practice as a dentist in Tinley Park, he earned the respect and affection of his patients. For the past quarter century, he has taken great pride in working alongside his son Rob. Outside of work, he looked forward to spending time with his son Rob and his daughter-in-law, Peggy. He cherished the bond they shared.

Edward had a soft spot in his heart for critters, and he and Sharon found great satisfaction in spending time with their canine and equine companions. He would often take Sharon or his daughter Tracy with him when he went horseback riding around the nearby forest preserves. He would spend countless hours in this activity. At the stable, Edward and Tracy bonded over their shared love of horses and created memories that will last a lifetime.

When the seasons changed, Edward and Sharon would flee to their winter home in Florida in order to get away from the harsh weather. They anticipated the warm weather, but what they were most looking forward to was spending time with their daughter Kelley and son-in-law Gregg, who both resided in the area.
