Ellie Little Obituary, Death Cause – On Friday, April 28, 2023, at the age of 93, Ellie Little died away in a calm and serene manner at the Willows of Tiffin. She was the daughter of Basil and Mary R. Rhine and was born on September 29th, 1929 in Burlington, Indiana. She tied the knot with Billy R. Little in Kokomo, Indiana, but they ended up getting divorced later. Her children, Anna L. (Thomas) Berry of Tiffin and John R. (Jennifer) Little of Clover, South Carolina, as well as her grandchildren, Brandon Berry of Oak Harbor, Washington, and Abby, Maggie, and Briar Little, as well as her great-granddaughter, Evie Rose Midgett of South Carolina, are among those who are still living.

She is also survived by a number of members of her immediate family in Indiana and members of her extended family in Ohio. Her parents and her brother Charles Lee “Pepper” Rhine, in addition to a number of her aunts, uncles, and cousins, passed away before she was born. Ellie received her diploma from Burlington High School in Burlington, Indiana, in 1947. She then attended the Indiana School of Cosmetology and later opened and operated Ellie’s Beauty Shop in Kokomo, Indiana.

In addition, she took her retirement from the Tiffin City Schools, where she had worked as a custodian. She was a part of the American Legion Auxiliary in Tiffin in addition to her membership at the Church of Christ in Kokomo, Indiana. She went to New York City by train and traveled to Chicago for conventions and shopping when she was younger. She also had a wide range of interests and activities that she enjoyed doing.

In recent years, she has loved going to the casino occasionally, playing Bingo, and participating in trivia. A delicious burger and some Hoosier tenderloins were two of her favorite foods. At this time, there will be no services available. The family has requested assistance from Hoffmann-Gottfried Mack Funeral Home & Crematory in making the necessary arrangements. The family would want to express their gratitude to the Willows and ProMedica Hospice for the excellent care that they provided to her during her final days.
