Emeritus Overduin Obituary, Death Cause – We are sorry to tell you of the demise of Professor Emeritus Jan Overduin, who was not only a well-known organist and composer but also a much-loved member of the Faculty of Music at our school. It is with great sadness that we share this news with you. We are obligated to inform you of his passing, and doing so fills us with a profound sense of regret; nonetheless, we must do so. We are sorry to have to break the news to you, but Professor Emeritus Jan Overduin has passed away.

Over the course of several decades and across multiple generations, Jan was the one who was responsible for inspiring a large number of pupils and creatives. He was the individual who, over the course of many years and over the course of many generations, served as a source of motivation for a great number of pupils as well as artists. Everyone who was fortunate enough to have spent some time in his company will remember him with a sensation in their heart that can be most accurately characterized as a “warm fuzzy.”

We were unable to keep this tragic information from you. You are constantly on our minds and in our prayers. Jan was a coworker, instructor, and mentor who was known for his intelligence and generosity. He was known for his passion, knowledge, and kindness, all of which were responsible for motivating many students and artists over the course of several generations. Jan was the person who was responsible for influencing many students and artists over the course of several generations.
