Emery Allen Obituary, Death Cause – At the age of 95, Emery J. “Boney” Allen Jr., who resided at 6 Northgate Drive in Bradford, Pennsylvania, passed away at The Bradford Ecumenical Home on May 10, 2023. He was the son of Emery J. and Margaret M. Grant Allen Sr., who both predeceased him. He was born on February 1, 1928 in Bradford. He received his diploma from Bradford High School in the year 1946. He enlisted in the United States Army and served throughout the Korean War; after his service, he was released with honor. He wed Mary M. Parsons Allen on January 8, 1966, at St. Francis Church. Mary M. Parsons Allen passed away on November 13, 2022, having predeceased him.

Emery worked as a draftsman for Clark Brothers in Bradford, Dresser Clark in Olean, New York, and Dresser Rand in Wellsville, New York, after having spent the previous 8 years working at Herm’s TV and the previous year at Hull Electric. In 1997, he decided to retire. He was active in the Knights of Columbus as well as St. Francis Church.
Two children, Ann (Jim) Bernhard of Charleston, South Carolina, and James (Victoria Schmid) Allen of Prospect Park, as well as a number of nieces and nephews, are among those who have been left behind.
His mother and father, along with his wife and three brothers, Richard G. Allen, Robert N. Allen, and Fred F. Allen,

all passed away before him. Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc., located at 372 East Main Street, will host a visitation for family and friends on the evening of Friday, May 12, 2023, from 5 to 7 p.m. Friends are welcome to join a Christian Mass that will be held on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in St. Francis Church. The Reverend John Jacquel, pastor, will preside over the service. After the funeral, the burial will take place at St. Bernard Cemetery.
