Eric Spivack Obituary, Death Cause – Chief Nicholas Baker and the Hinesburg Fire Department expressed their deepest condolences and regrets upon making the sad announcement that Deputy Chief Eric Spivack, who was serving as an active member of the department at the time of his passing, had gone away. After Spivack had attained the status of former Assistant Chief, he was promoted to the position of current Deputy Chief.
Yesterday, Deputy Spivack was taking care of outdoor chores at his home in Hinesburg when he experienced a medical emergency that led to an unexpected heart arrest. He passed away as a result of his condition.
On November 10th, 1986, Deputy Chief Spivack began his career in the fire and emergency medical services industry by becoming a call firefighter for the Fairhaven Fire-EMS Department in Massachusetts. This was the beginning of his lengthy and illustrious career in the fire department, which he began at this point.
Eric relocated to Hinesburg in 1998, and on July 7, 1998, he was accepted into the fire department there. Eric has been with the department ever since. During the time that Deputy Spivack devoted to serving the Town of Hinesburg, he worked his way up through the ranks of the Fire Department, eventually becoming a Firefighter, Lieutenant, Captain, and Assistant Chief. During this period, Deputy Spivack was also an Assistant Chief. He was well-known not just for his love of his family but also for the dedication, pride, and passion he had for the department he worked for. As we begin to come to grips with this incomparable loss, we would like to extend our most sincere condolences to Eric’s family and friends. We are really sorry for your loss.
