Ernest Miller Obituary, Death – Ernest Miller has died. In Strattanville, on January 28, 1933, he was born to the late Edward Miller and Nellie (Nolf) Miller, who both predeceased him. Both of his parents had passed away at this point. While Ernie was driving for George W. Wolf Jr. and Selker Brothers, his primary mode of transportation was a tanker truck. Soon after he retired, he began working for the Clarion Area School District as a bus driver. He did this for several years.
He had previously been a member of the Strattanville Pilgrim Holiness Church, the Wesleyan Alliance Church in Knox, and the Knox United Methodist Church, all of which are churches. He enjoyed woodworking, golfing, and deer hunting. Ernie is survived by his children, Daniel Miller of Shippenville, who is married to Michelle, and Peggy Roddy, also of Shippenville, who is married to Edward. Both of these individuals are Ernie’s descendants.
Another person who will be grieving the loss of Ernie is Sandy Graham, who was a very close friend of his. His mother and father, as well as his brothers Joe, Glenn, Clarence, and Arden Miller, and his sister Elizabeth Walker, all perished away before he did. Elizabeth Walker was the only surviving member of his family. In addition, Ernie is survived by his grandchildren, including William Miller of Keene, New Hampshire, Melissa (Michael) Jones of Clarion, Daniel Roddy of Shippenville, Ryan Roddy of Knox, and Bradley Roddy of Shippenville; as well as his great-grandchildren, including Gavin Jones, Sophia, Jaxson, Archer, and Danika Roddy. In addition, Ernie is survived by his great-grandchildren, including Danika Roddy.
