Just before noon, the Worthington Schools Superintendent Trent Bowers sent a note home with students and families informing them that the girl who had been killed in the accident was a student at Perry Middle School. To the Families of the Worthington Schools: One of our kids, a sixth grader at Perry Middle School, passed away earlier today as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. It is with sorrowful hearts that we inform you of this news. We are aware that the passing of a young person is an unfathomable sorrow, and we would want to extend our deepest sympathies and condolences to the family, friends, and loved ones who have been impacted by this loss.
The girl was a much-loved member of our school community, and the vacuum that her passing has created will be experienced by everyone who had the opportunity to get to know her.
