Gail Ensign Obituary, Death Cause – This past weekend, while our mother Gail Ensign was away on vacation, an unexpected tragedy befell our family. People often say that when you’re a child, you don’t remember specifics from your distant past, but you do remember how you felt in those particular moments. The sensation of being loved is what stands out to me most clearly from my youth. That is the one thing that sticks out in my mind. My mother’s affection for both my sister and me was intense and unwavering. She had feelings for my dad. She has a special fondness for her grandchildren. The grandparents that I had.

My mother’s side of the family. They’re my cousins. I’m going to miss her very much.  My mother was a great source of knowledge for me, much of which I intend to instill in my own offspring. I want to instill in them her self-assurance and a strong work ethic. Perhaps only a trace of her intransigence remained. There are several hilarious anecdotes that I could tell you about my mother. My father shared with me once, many years ago, that one of his favorite things about her was that she was risky; he never knew what she was going to do or say next. He said that this was one of his favorite things about her.
