Glen Conkin Obituary, Death Cause – Glenn Dale Conkin, a resident of Tompkinsville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, April 28 at Hospice of Southern Kentucky. He was 79 years old. Glen Dale Conkin was born on April 6, 1944 in the city of Tompkinsville in the state of Kentucky. Margaret (Wood) Conkin, his mother, passed away, and Regie T. Conkin are his parents. He is their son. It took him 35 years to work his way up through the ranks at General Telephone before he finally decided to retire.

Glen Dale was one of the people who were a part of the congregation at the Liberty Methodist Church. After he retired, he discovered that farming and raising cattle were the most productive uses of his time. Glen Dale is survived by his daughter, Kim Conkin Shadday (Donnie Johnson), of Owens Cross Roads, Alabama; two sisters, Sheryl Conkin, of Tompkinsville, Kentucky; and Sandy Moore, and husband, Larry, of Tompkinsville, Kentucky; two brothers, Richard “Dickie” Conkin, of Celina, Tennessee; and Brett Conkin, of Tompkinsville, Kentucky; in addition to his special friend, Patricia Walden, of Tompkinsville, Kentucky.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sibling who went by the name of Stevie Conkin. His parents were the first to pass away. On Thursday, May 4, at one o’clock in the afternoon, funeral services will be place at the Yokley Trible Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, Kentucky. Following the conclusion of the ceremonies, interment will take place at Liberty Cemetery.Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4 until 8 o’clock in the evening at the Yokley Trible Funeral Home, and on Thursday from 8:00 in the morning until the time of the ceremony at 1:00 in the afternoon.
