- by Sophia Mia
Glenn Ramsburg Obituary, Death Cause – The Citizens Fire Company expresses its heaviness of heart and profound grief upon hearing the news of the passing of Glenn Ramsburg, who was a life member of the organization. On September 11, 1950, Mr. Ramsburg signed up for Citizens and became a member of the organization. Throughout the course of his career, he worked in a variety of capacities, ranging from firefighter to assistant chief. As the first person to ever hold the position of Assistant Chief at Citizens Fire Company, he established a precedent that was later followed by others.
never slowed down and remained quite active throughout the nearly 73 years that he served in the military. He was a loyal and trustworthy member of both our company and the community that he tried to improve. Both of these communities benefited from his efforts. He was the first person who would greet you with a wide smile on his face whenever you saw him at our annual Pancake Day, and he was in a happy mood all the time. Those of us who were fortunate enough to have served beside him will always hold wonderful memories of him in our hearts and will be saddened by his passing.
Everyone who had the opportunity to listen to his wise counsel, enjoy his hilarious jokes, and experience his brotherhood will always cherish the experiences they had with him. By serving in the military, he demonstrated both respect for his community and loyalty to his country. We ask God to bless his family and be with them as they go through this difficult time. We pray that he hears our prayers. It will soon be revealed by Citizens Fire Company that Assistant Chief Ramsburg has been given the responsibility of his final assignment in heaven. Have a pleasant nap, sir! From this point forward, we will take care of everything.
