Harvey Richmond Obituary, Death Cause – Harvey D. Richmond made his passage early on Monday morning, and it is with a heavy heart that we announce his passing to the members and friends of SHMBC. Bro. Richmond will be much missed. On November 24th, 1962, he tied the knot with Judith L. Harter in Peoria. She will live on. In addition, one daughter, Dawn (Steve) Stalker of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, one grandson, Gabrielle Stalker, and one granddaughter, Zoe Stalker, as well as one brother, Jesse (Brenda) Richmond Jr. of Yuma, Arizona, are among those who are still living.
His parents, two sisters, June Wright and Helen Manley, and one brother-in-law, Fred Manley, all passed away before he did. He was the youngest of three children. Between the years 1962 and 1968, he had served with distinction in the Illinois Air National Guard. Harvey is a graduate of the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia, and he worked for the Tazewell County Sheriff’s Department for a decade after completing his training there.
He had previously served as both the Chief Deputy of the Sheriff’s Department and as a member of the Sheriff’s Department’s Merit Commission. In addition, Harvey was self-employed and owned and operated Richmond Painting and Wallpapering in Pekin from 1978 until 2000. He worked there until 2000. After that, he spent his career working as an estimator for Ghelardini, Inc. before finally calling it quits. He was a previous member of the Kiwanis Club of Pekin, as well as the Pekin Moose Family Center 916 and the Pekin Elks Lodge 1271. He served as a council member for the City of Pekin for a period of ten years.
