Imani Smith Obituary, Death Cause – It has been determined that the two people who sadly lost their lives in the horrific catastrophe that took place early on Sunday morning in Birmingham were a brother and sister. This discovery was made possible by the fact that the two victims were related to each other. Imani Nashiem Smith, 25, and Mi’Angel Temple Jones, 21, both succumbed to their injuries and died as a result, as determined by the findings of the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office. Smith was 25 years old while Jones was only 21 years old when they met.

A complaint of a collision involving a single car was received around 5:15 a.m. on Sunday in the 800 block of Graymont Avenue West. Birmingham Fire & Rescue Service and Birmingham police rushed to the scene of the accident. According to the findings of the investigation, the car was heading in the direction of southbound traffic on Arkadelphia Road at the time of the collision with the utility pole that it was involved in. When the first responders arrived, they found Smith and Jones lying still in their respective postures. Both of them appeared to be unresponsive. Both of their bodies were located at the scene of the accident at 5:58 in the morning, having passed away there.

According to the Chief Deputy Coroner Bill Yates, Smith was the driver of the automobile, and Jones was merely a passenger in the vehicle. Yates came to this conclusion after interviewing the Chief Deputy Coroner. It was imperative that the additional four passengers be extracted from the vehicle. Within the population of patients who required to be taken out, there was one male patient and three female patients. At this point, it appears that one of the victims is in really critical condition. According to the officials, the injuries sustained by the other three victims are likewise considered to be life-threatening.
