Iris Romero Obituary, Death Cause – Blanca Iris Romero, who was 64 years old and from Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, passed away at the Chambersburg Hospital on November 28, 2020. She was the daughter of Olga Villanueva Monroig, who passed away, and the late Luis A. Monroig, who was born on January 30, 1956 in Brooklyn, New York.

Blanca received her high school diploma from James Madison High School in Brooklyn, New York in 1974. Up to the time of her retirement, she was employed in property management in the immediate region. She attended the Bethel Assembly of God in Chambersburg as a regular attendee. Blanca looked forward to her time spent serving as a volunteer at her church and the local food pantries.

She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Ralph Romero, Jr., whom she married on September 23, 1988; her two sons, Jason Reyes (Edmie Castilloreyes) of Fisher, IN, and Adam Romero of Waynesboro; eight grandchildren, and one great grandchild; and her four siblings, Diana Onativia of Fayetteville, Annie Monroig, Luis Monroig, and Gilbert Monroig, all of Chambersburg.

A funeral ceremony is scheduled to take place on Friday, December 4, 2020 at 10:00 AM at Bethel Assembly of God located at 400 Miller Street in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania 17201. The ceremony will be presided over by Pastor Garry Kipe. At the conclusion of the service, the burial will take place at Norland Cemetery. In the hour leading up to the ceremony, the family will have a reception for friends at the church. The Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, has been given the responsibility of making the necessary arrangements.
