James Heitman Obituary, Death Cause – James Heitman has died. Heitman was given a position in Millikan’s division in addition to the General Felonies Unit. An email that was addressed to all of the judges and which was obtained by 5 On Your Side stated as follows: “ACA James Heitman was tragically killed in a car accident this evening.” I ask that you continue to pray for him and for his entire family.

In response to the news of Heitman’s passing on Thursday morning, Gardner issued the following statement: Mr. James Heitman, another one of our devoted ACAs, passed away in a car accident late yesterday night, and I am startled and heartbroken to have to share this news with you. During this incredibly difficult time, we are keeping his family and his CAO family in our thoughts and prayers.

The collision took place at approximately 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday evening on the southbound lanes of Interstate 270 near Interstate 55. There were a total of four automobiles involved. MSHP reports that three vehicles in the second-to-rightmost lane were forced to slow down due to traffic in front of them. These vehicles were a GMC Acadia, a Chevrolet Malibu, and a Chrysler Aspen. Heitman, who was driving a Toyota Camry, moved his car from the right lane into the next lane over, which was occupied by the automobiles that were traveling alongside him. According to the report, he was the one who crashed into the rear of the Aspen because he failed to notice that the traffic in front of him had slowed down. Because of this, the front of the Aspen collided with the rear of the Malibu, which in turn caused the front of the Malibu to collide with the rear of the Acadia. Following the collision, all three vehicles caught fire: the Malibu, the Aspen, and the Camry.
