Jamila Jones Obituary, Death Cause – Jamila, a dearly valued friend and sister of ours, has been diagnosed with colon cancer at the Stage IV stage. I would like to take this opportunity to share her story with you, beginning with the moment she received her diagnosis and continuing through to the present, when she is working her way toward a full recovery. In December of 2019, Jamila went to the Emergency Room of a hospital in Texas because she was experiencing excruciating stomach pain.

She was discharged after receiving an incorrect diagnosis of an ulcer, and she treated herself with over-the-counter drugs. Even though the pain was significantly reduced, I continued to have fullness and bloating well into the year 2020. Jamila didn’t question her earlier diagnosis, so she wrote it off as slight constipation and dehydration and continued on with her day. During this period, Jamila continued to take an active role in caring for her general health. She went to all of her scheduled appointments once a year.

She had the impression that her health was holding up fairly well. On the 31st of March, 2021, Jamila suffered from agonizing discomfort in her tummy. She was going to use the over-the-counter medications that gave her brief relief since she believed it was an outbreak of the ulcer. However, things were different this time. Her daughter strongly recommended that she go into the emergency room for further screens, testing, and examinations. It was determined that she had a tumor on her colon after a CT scan was performed on her. The diagnosis was cancer.
