The news that Jean Christenson has passed away comes with both heavy hearts and happy tears for us as we share it with you. She was a lovely wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother throughout her life. Jean was the devoted wife of Kurt and the doting mother of Zak Richardson, Jeremy Christenson (who was married to Maarja Pardi), Jenna Christenson (who was married to Tommy Meilleur), and Christopher Wells (who was previously married to Janna).

Levi and Tyler held her in high regard as their beloved grandmother. Carol (Nelson) Root and Judi Dolan both cherished Jean as their loving sister. Jean served her country with honor in the United States Air Force for many years. In addition to that, she was a lifelong participant in the Garden City chapter of the Women of the Moose. Jean enjoyed sewing, baking, and cooking in her spare time. She was always willing to take in strays, be they human or animal, and make them feel at home at her house.

Jean was a kind and generous person who had a great concern for the wellbeing of others and was always available to offer assistance whenever it was required. Those who knew and loved her will miss her in a significant way now that she is gone.She had an undying love for Jesus and inspired a multitude of children to do the same through her example. She will be sorely missed, but we take comfort in knowing that she is now rejoicing with the angels in paradise.
