Jean Stern Obituary, Death Cause – We are writing to notify you of the passing of Fr. Jean Stern, MS of the Province of France, and we are doing so because we are writing this letter. It is with a heavy heart that we are doing so because we are writing this letter. in around 10:30 o’clock on the evening of Monday, May 1, 2023, he died away in the hospital in Grenoble where he had been receiving palliative care for the preceding week. He had been admitted to the facility on the Monday before.

Approximately one week had passed since he had arrived there. He had a combined age of 96 years, 73 years of experience living the monastic life, and over 70 years of experience serving as a priest. He had been a priest for almost all of his life. He had been living as a monk for a total of 73 years at the time of his death. In 1949, he joined the Missionaries of Our Lady of La Salette, and five years later, on July 5, 1953, he was called to the priesthood.

His first day of service was November 1. On November 1st, he became a Missionary by taking his first vows in that capacity. The 12th of March is his birthday, and he was born in France on that date in 1927. His birthday is March 12th. the lovely lady be by his side to accompany him on this, his final journey toward the heavenly Kingdom, and may she pray for him and offer her support to him along the road. May he reach his destination safely.
