Jessica Pokora Obituary, Death Cause – On July 26, 2013, at the age of 76, Jessica Pokora lost her battle with cancer after a protracted and challenging fight. She passed away and went to her heavenly home. Only his devoted wife of fifty years, June Frances (Meilstrup) Pokora, will remain after he has passed away. She is the only person he leaves behind. Jack Pokora was predeceased by his brother James Pokora, his parents Stephen and Angeline (Koryto) Pokora, and his son Michael Pokora.

Jack was also predeceased by his own parents. Jack was the only member of his family to survive after everyone else had passed away. After he has passed away, his sister, Mary Ann (Kenneth) Bensen, will carry on the work he has started. His children will have fond memories of him for the rest of their life, including William and Loreta Pokora, John and Karen Pokora, Kenneth and Christina Pokora, Catherine and Michael Rummler, Mark and Jessica Pokora, and Bradley and Katrina Pokora.

His grandchildren will also have fond memories of him. In addition, he is survived by 20 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins who will all remember him with a warm and fuzzy feeling. After serving in the United States Army for a period of time, Jack went on to work for Rapistan for a total of sixteen years before eventually retiring from the United States Postal Service.

He was an expert at Jeopardy, and he also enjoyed working on his computer, playing golf, solving crossword puzzles, reading, and laughing. He was also a really funny person. Calvary Church, which can be found at 707 East Beltline Avenue, will be the location of the Memorial Services that will be held on Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at 2:00 p.m.
