Joey Russell Obituary, Death Cause – Joey Russell has died. Joey Russell is survived by his children Shaquita Russell of Cartersville and Joey Russell Jr. “JoJo” of Cartersville; his grandchildren Jordan Russell, Jayden Russell, and Cali Russell; his sister Janice Williams of Jasper; his brothers James E. Bridges of Smyrna and Jeffery C. Bridges of Washington, D. C.; his uncles Owen Russell, Clayxton Russell, and Perry Russell; the mother of his children, Jackie McKinney; and his nephews and Additionally, treasured friends Willie Stephens, Ian Stephens, Brandy Wofford, and Alana Wofford, in addition to Issac Bridges, are still among the living.

Joey Russell, a Borscht Belt comedian who worked the nightclub circuit with some of the era’s biggest names and established a career as a TV clown in Connecticut, where he lived most of his life, died Sept. 25 in Milford. He was 90. A philanthropist and Jewish activist, Mr. Russell established a local chapter of the American Red Magen David for Israel, and raised money for 20 ambulances. When a girl at one of his appearances once suggested that he collect a penny for every Jew who died in the Holocaust, he accepted the idea – his Penny Parade Fund raised $60,000, which paid for one ambulance.

Emily Bridges, who was his mother, Jorelle Russell, who was his father, Torey Russell, who was his son, Jerarld Bridges, who was his sister, and Brenda Wofford, who was a treasured friend, all went away prior to his passing. The passing of his mother came before that of any other member of his family. On Thursday at 2:00 p.m., memorial services will be held in honor of the person who passed away.
