John Walsh Obituary, Death Cause – Yesterday evening at the TUS Gaelic Grounds, the life of ohn Walsh, who was a resident of Sixmilebridge, was brought to an end. At the time of his passing, he was attending the Munster Hurling Championship match between Clare and Limerick, which was being played in Clare. The TUS Gaelic Grounds were serving as the setting for the sporting event that was taking place. John is a native of the town of Portumna, which is located in the county of Galway, and he represented his county in hurling competitions at the under-21, minor, and intermediate levels.

This was accomplished in a rather quick amount of time by him. He uprooted his life and moved to Sixmilebridge so that he could be closer to his family and have more opportunities to spend time with them. When he moved into the house in Sixmilebridge, it was in the year 1968. Since his family is very active in the GAA Club, all of us members of the Clare GAA would like to express our condolences to them on the passing of a family member that occurred so suddenly.

He began his life and completed his education in Galway, which is his hometown.After moving to Sixmilebridge in 1968, he did not delay for very long before becoming a committed and enthusiastic supporter of both the Club and the County of Clare, where he had decided to make his new home. He had moved to Sixmilebridge because he wanted to be closer to his son, who was attending school in Clare.

The passing of this family member came as a complete and total shock to everyone. His family is very active in the GAA Club and contributes a substantial amount of time and effort.
