Lauren Heike Obituary, Death Cause – Lauren Heike, who was 50 years old and lived in Red Bluff, will be honored with a memorial ceremony on Tuesday, March 27 at 10 a.m. at the Bethel Assembly of God, which is located at 625 Luther Rd. in Red Bluff, California. After a protracted battle with sickness, she passed away on March 20th, 2007, at the comfort of her own home. Her parents, Hans and Marianne Holtschneider, gave birth to her on January 13, 1957 in Chico, California.
She received a plethora of academic distinctions when she graduated from Chico High School in 1975 after having attended Chico Elementary Schools. She was awarded a number of scholarships, which allowed her to attend Chico State University. In addition, she earned her early childhood education certificate from Shasta Community College, where she studied toward a future profession in the field. Both Reeds Creek Elementary School and Bidwell Elementary School had employed her as an Instructional Assistant during her career.
Heike was the bright spot in the lives of many people, and she exemplified the great qualities of a compassionate lady. She showed the children she really cared for her kind spirit by imparting both her artistic ability and her love of learning to them. Even though she is no longer with us, Heike will continue to be thought of as the center and the very essence of her family.
She is survived by her mother, Marianne Holtschneider of Chico, her sister, Sigrid Gauger of Lewiston, Idaho, her daughters, Erika Montgomery (Fred) of Chico and Lauren Lathrop (Tony) of Rancho Cordova, her son, Lucas Lathrop (Shanta) of Live Oak, and her grandchildren, Kira Montgomery and Madelyn Lathrop. She was married to Mark for 30 years.
