This was done in an effort to rescue Patterson and the other individual.Around 3:30 in the afternoon, both people were pulled from the water safely after being trapped in the river.

On Tuesday, authorities reported that the river’s level was approximately 7.5 feet, which is the threshold at which everyone is required to wear life jackets. If you are in the water, you should not attempt to swim. Anyone who enters the water without wearing a life jacket does so at their own risk at this level.
