Lilian Sowerby Obituary, Death Cause – After a long and hard-fought battle with cancer, Lilian Sowerby (MBE), who resided in Ushaw Moor, passed away on April 21 in a gentle manner. She passed away while being comforted by her cherished family members who had gathered around her in the moments leading up to her passing. Lilian Sowerby, a citizen of the United Kingdom and a Member of the British Empire, will be fondly and reverently remembered.

Now 83 years old, Lilian was made a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the past.  Beloved wife of the late Brian, much loved partner of Alan, dearly loved mother to Neal and Jan, a beloved nana, sister, auntie, and friend to many. Beloved wife of the late Brian, much loved partner of Alan, dearly loved mother to Neal and Jan. Beloved wife of the late Brian, greatly loved partner of Alan, and passionately loved mother to Neal and Jan. Beloved by everybody who knew and loved her. Beloved wife of the late Brian, cherished partner of Alan, and devoted mother to Neal and Jan, who all loved her deeply.

Everyone who ever met her or loved her did so with great affection. Beloved wife of the late Brian, treasured partner of Alan, and dedicated mother to Neal and Jan, who both adored her passionately. Beloved wife of the late Brian, who passed away. Everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her or loving her did so with a profound sense of warmth. The loss of her presence in the lives of a great number of individuals will have a major and profound effect on them. On Friday, May 12, at 2:00 p.m., funeral services will be held at St. Joseph’s R.C. Church in Ushaw Moor. Friends and family are cordially invited to attend the ceremonies. After the conclusion of the service, the funeral, as well as the cremation that will follow it, will take place in Durham.
Following the event, we will be getting together in the Catholic club for some refreshments, and anyone who would like to join us after the ceremony is more than welcome to do so.
