Marie Michlik Obituary, Death Cause – Peggy Marie Michlik, who served as our bartender and was an incredible friend, is leaving us after being married to Martin Michlik, who served as a previous commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Nov 24, 1950 – Apr 29, 2023  who was 72 years old and had been a devoted mother of six children and wife to husband Martin Michlik, passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2023, with her family at her side. She was born and reared in the Bronx, New York, and continued to call that city home for the first 28 years of her life before moving to East Brunswick.

Completed nursing school at Misericordia and went on to serve as a nurse for the next 47 years, ending her career in the emergency room. She was a wonderful cook, a passionate traveler, and an animal lover who cherished all species. She had survived pancreatic cancer. Peggy is a proud alumna of the East Brunswick Auxiliary Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 133, where she held the position of President. Surviving family members include her husband, Martin Michlik; her daughters Elizabeth and her husband William Hutchinson of Mt. Holly

Stephanie and her husband David Shenloogian of Morris Plains, Annemarie and her husband Michael Clark of Morganville, and Dr. Katrina and her husband Dr. Thomas Smith of Orlando, FL; her sons Joseph and his wife Sophie Michlik of Las Vegas, NV, and Timothy and his wife Christine Michlik of Hampton; her sister Carol Morea of Hamilton; On the evening of Wednesday, May 3, 2023, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM, THE  located at 454 Cranbury Road in East Brunswick, will be open for visits from family and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 4, 2023, at 8:45 AM, , 454 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick. This will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM, which will take place at St. Bartholomew Roman Catholic Church, also located in East Brunswick.
