Mary Wright Obituary, Death Cause – It is with a heavy heart that we share the news that our mother, grandma, Mary Wright, who passed away quietly on Friday morning and co-founded Mermaids with her devoted husband Malcolm, had passed away. With heavy hearts, we share the news that our dearly loved mother, Mary Wright, who resided in Clarks Summit and was 88 years old, has passed away. She was the daughter of Raymond and Sara Minihan, who both passed away, and the wife of John Wright, who also passed away.
She was born and raised in Scranton. She was invited to sing on local radio stations due to her great singing voice, which she developed while attending St. Ann’s School, from which she graduated. Mary was well-known not only for her reading skills and her inherent ability to correctly predict the winner of horse races, but also for the delectable meals that she prepared, which many people had the good fortune to sample. Son John R. and wife Rosemary of Orlando, Florida; daughter Grace of Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania; son Robert and wife Kathleen of Greensboro.
North Carolina; daughter-in-law Sandy of Old Forge; grandchildren Angela, Kelly, and Sean; great-grandchildren Christian (C.J. ), Addison, and Nina, whom she was known as Gigi; as well as a niece and nephews. During her brief illness, both Dr. James Scheere and his staff, together with the personnel of Allied Services Home Hospice, as well as her neighbor, Frank Yanul, provided her with excellent care and compassion.
