Michael Abel Obituary, Death Cause – On February 25, 2023, Michael Charles Abel, 66 years old and a resident of Williamsburg, was summoned to his heavenly home. Mike Abel was conceived by his parents, Myron and Lorene Abel, and delivered in Monroe, Michigan. He received his high school diploma from Brother Rice and went on to study at Ferris State University. He moved to Texas in search of fresh experiences, and it was there that he discovered his life’s work.

He started out his career in the high-end furniture sales and management industry, where he enjoyed a long and fruitful run of success thanks to his dynamic personality, unrivaled optimism, and sharp humor. Angela, who would later become the joy and inspiration of his life, was born in 1993, making him the most proud parent in the history of the world. Mike moved back to Michigan in 2017 to be closer to his parents and extended family after spending decades in Texas working at Haverty’s Furniture and seeing Angela through college. He also wanted to be closer to his extended family. After returning to his hometown, he started working at VanDrie Furniture.

Mike was the epitome of a true warrior, forging his own way through life. He loved intensely, and through life’s most challenging conflicts, he persevered with steadfast faith and unflinching tenacity. The great outdoors was his happy place, and his family was the center of his life. He enjoyed everything from working in the yard to fishing and sailing. His bright attitude on life and infectious grin will be sorely missed by everyone who ever knew and loved him.

Angela Abel’s beloved father; cherished son of Myron and Lorene Abel; cherished brother of Elizabeth (Kyle) Ziegler, Cynthia (Stephen) Morley, Matthew (Rochelle) Abel, and Christopher (Vickie) Abel; devoted uncle to a large number of nieces and nephews; and devoted friend to a great number of people. Beloved by everybody who knew and loved him. The deaths of his brothers Daniel and David, as well as his nephew Jordan, came before his own.

At the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elk Rapids, Michigan, on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 11:00 a.m., there will be a Mass of Christian Burial held for the deceased. The viewing will start at 10:00 in the morning and continue up to the time of the service.
