Nick Ames Obituary, Butler University Assistant Director Sport Programs Has Died

Nick Ames Obituary, Death Cause – Nick Ames, eh? Yesterday evening, heaven received one of the very best! Nick was the type of person who was always laughing and smiling. That laughter is still audible to us! He was the kind of person that could always make you feel better about yourself. He was supportive of Will and me during each phase of our relationship, as well as each time we added a new member to our family along the way.

His lifelong passion has been serving as an official. Will never went more than a week without texting Nick and having a conversation about officiating or sports.
Today, a guardian angel was bestowed upon the Phantom Crew. He will be keeping watch over each and every one of us! We adore you Nick! Today, we received a phone call. An unexpected death occurred among one of our closest friends.

Nick Ames was one of the first people I became friends with when I attended BYUI. Being in his presence was like being around a constant source of positivity, and he was the kind of person you always wanted to be with. A humorous outlook that I could get behind. Easy-going and non-judgmental. A dork who is also good at playing video games.

Nick was a wonderful friend to have. Even though he won’t realize it for a very long time (for me), he was very important to me. Nick was a joyful person at all times, even while he was going through difficult situations. He brought us nothing but… delight. When Toben and I were still in our early days at BYUI and drawing comics for The Scroll that were reminiscent of college life, we frequently made Nick the main character in those comics and made him the star of the show.

Observing Nick play softball and then going to McDonald’s with him after the games are two of my favourite memories of the time I spent with him. I had a lot of respect for him, but I probably didn’t show it because I was too shy to speak up at the time. Sharing laughs with him and watching him enjoy himself whenever we included him in another comic strip was a highlight.

While he was doing Kingdom Hearts speedruns, we would watch him livestream the game on our computers while we worked or ate just so we could hang out with him and listen to and see his face and voice. It didn’t make a difference that it was the same game since all that mattered was that we got to spend time with Nick, who we adore and whom we missed terribly while he was away.

I have the sad wish that we had more of him. I wish that he had been able to spend more time with us here on earth. Please go give the Ames family a hug and say a prayer for them if you are familiar with them. They have a wonderful family. Every single one of them in their entirety. I am sorry to say that I do not have any photos of us in which Nick is on me. However, I do possess the vintage comics in which he appears. If you are aware, then you are aware.

I really wish that I didn’t have to refer to him in the past tense here.
