Nick Clark Obituary, Death Cause – Nick Clark, a businessman in Jackson and a reserve officer for Hinds County, passed away. Nick Clark, a good friend of mine, passed away tonight. There is not a single negative remark that can be made about the man. He was well-known in the metropolitan region and generous to a fault; if you had asked, he would have given you the shirt right off his back. We shared many enjoyable exchanges, and I’m going to miss our chats together. It was earlier in the week that he phoned me, but I wasn’t able to return his call.

I must admit that I just put it off and told myself that I would call him on Monday when things slowed down. No matter what else life throws at you, let this serve as a reminder to everyone that there is no guarantee that there will be another Monday and that you should keep in touch with the people who are important to you as often as you possibly can. The passing of longtime reserve officer Nick Clark has been confirmed by the Sheriff of Hinds County, Tyree Jones. The most recent position that Clark held was that of Captain of the Reserves Unit.

Clark, who was a licensed auctioneer and a successful businessman in Jackson, served in a variety of jobs for more than 30 years with the department. Clark, who is shown here during one of the many city impound lot auctions that he managed, was also a participant in the sheriff department’s vice and narcotics sting operations over the course of his career. We are grateful for his commitment and dedication to Hinds County, as stated by Sheriff Jones, who told 3 On Your Side that Captain Clark would be much missed and that we are thankful for his service.
