Phillip Deane Obituary, Death Cause – The mourners who have gathered at the Heishman Funeral Home would like the family of Phillip Deane to know that they are keeping them in their thoughts at this trying time. Phillip T. Deane passed away peacefully on the evening of Thursday, May 4, 2023, at the age of 69, in the familiar surroundings of his own home, surrounded by the loving members of his dedicated family. He was brought into this world on October 5th, 1953, in the city of Melbourne, England, by his parents, whose names were Phillip and Gladys Deane.

He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren, Kyle Deane, Thomas Deane, Drew Matthews, Ava Matthews, Emma Deane, and Lucas Deane, all of whom brought him immense joy and pride. In addition, Philip is survived by his sister Sharon Overstrom and her husband Neal of North Stonington; his sister-in-law Elizabeth Foley Wu and her husband James of Litchfield; his sister-in-law Cindy Turcotte of Plainville; his brother-in-law Thomas Foley and his wife Patricia of Scottsdale, Arizona; a large number of nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his devoted German Shepherd companion, Reece.

Reece was his constant companion throughout his life. The family of Philip would like to extend an especially heartfelt thank you to the whole staff at Athena Home and Hospice for the kind and considerate care that they offered during Philip’s final days. Jean Marie and Pierre believed that you and the other person were angels sent to our family to ease everyone’s concerns, including Reece’s, and they thought of you in this way.
