Renee Hersson Obituary, Death Cause – Renee Hersson, a well loved YSC member who has been a part of the organization for a very long time, passed away earlier this week. We were left with broken hearts as we had to break the news about her passing. The challenges Renee faced during her recuperation from the injuries she incurred in a fall earlier this spring prevented her from making a full recovery from the ailments she sustained. She died away peacefully at her home on the evening of Monday, May 8, at roughly seven o’clock in the evening. She was in the benevolent company of her long-lost pals, all of whom had been keeping a watchful eye on her.

It is practically impossible for us to put into words how much of a contribution Renee has made to the success of this organization due to the years that she has served on the board of directors and as the person in charge of membership applications and approvals. Renee’s life was also greatly altered by the club, and a good number of us have listened to her retell amusing incidents from the history of the organization at some point. She was an animated person who gave an energetic and pleasant attitude to every get-together that she was a part of. In order to show their gratitude to Renee for all of the hard work she has put in over the years, the club has bestowed upon her the honor of a lifetime membership as a sign of their gratitude.

Regarding the Celebration of Life that will be conducted in Renee’s honor at some point in the not too distant future, we will get back to you at a later time with additional details about the event. Paula, Renee’s sister, has just arrived in San Francisco, and she asked us to pass along the message that Renee was an amazing aunt, great aunt, and godmother. Paula is here visiting Renee. Paula is now settled in her new home in San Francisco.
