Richard Ruske Obituary, Death Cause – The Evanston Fire Department would like to extend its most heartfelt condolences to Richard Ruske’s family and friends on the passing of Richard Ruske, a former fireman who had retired from the line of duty before his death. Richard Ruske had served the community as a firefighter for many years. Richard Ruske was a longtime member of the Evanston community who provided service.

Richard Ruske was a member of staff who had been employed by the department for a significant number of years. Beginning on the first of April 1955 and continuing until the first of April 1985, Brother Ruske was an exemplary member of the Evanston Fire Department. The first of April in 1955 marked the beginning of his employment with the department. His employment with the department began in 1955 and continued until it was terminated in 1985. That was the day that he officially announced that he would be retiring from his position, and it was effective immediately.
