Riley Hicks Obituary, Riley Hicks Has Passed Away

Riley Hicks Obituary, Death Cause – Riley J. Hicks, who was from Rogersville and had 37 years of age when he passed away on April 28, 2023, was an individual. Riley spent the entirety of his service in the United States Army in the Special Operations division, where he eventually became an expert in both communications and security. His stint in that branch spanned a total of ten years. While he was serving with the 50th Signal Freedom Battalion (Forward) (Airborne) and the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (SOAR) Nightstalkers, he took part in Operation Iraqi Freedom.

The Special Operations Aviation Regiment is comprised of both of these different units. In addition to that, he took part in a number of other high-stakes missions overseas, including one in which he was assigned to the presidential protection detail. Those missions all took place outside of the United States. The United States Army Parachutist Badge and the United States Army Aviation Badge are just two of the many medals and honors that have been bestowed upon him throughout his time in the military. Riley was always willing to provide a helping hand to whoever required it, had a passion for making music, and treasured the time he spent with his family and friends.

In this sense, he took after his father, since he found great joy in making the people around him laugh, and this trait was passed down to him. Both of his parents, Aimee Hicks, who was his wife, and Ronnie Hicks, who was his father, had before him in death. He is left by his mother, Kerry Hicks; daughters Rilynn (De’Angelo) Andrews and Zoe Jane (Matthew Hughes); granddaughter Layton Hughes; and Erica Hicks; sisters Rachel (Kevin) Grigsby and Reanna Hicks; brother Roy (Faith) Hicks; grandmother Sara Evans; and many more members of his family. He was a loving son, father, brother, uncle, and friend.
