Sandra Macquillan Obituary, Death Cause – I was just made aware of the sad news that Sandra MacQuillan has passed away, despite having fought cancer for a very long time and being so courageous about it. She was a stunning woman who also has the qualities of an enthusiastic and motivational leader. During her time at K-C, she left a mark on each and every one of our lives in a meaningful way.

Sandi McQuillan was a lovely wife, sister, mother, and friend, and we are devastated to inform you of her untimely demise as we do so with broken hearts. On June 5, 2022, in the 77th year of her life, Sandi died away while under the care of the staff at the Ottawa Hospital, Civic Campus. Gary McQuillan, Sandi’s cherished husband, and Oliver (‘Ollie,’ as she called him), her cherished dog, will both be deeply missed by Sandi. Beloved mother to Vicki (who is married to Henry), Andrea (who is married to Kevin), Scott, and Matthew (who is married to Christina); her son Kane passed away before her.

Grandmother (“Grandy, Grammy”) and great-grandmother (“GG”) to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Cherished by all. Her mother Vera and her father Kenneth (Margaret) Craig passed away before she was born. Penny, Sandi’s sister, is the only member of Sandi’s family to survive her death; her brother Shawn and sister Carol both passed away before her. Her in-laws, including her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, as well as her nieces, nephews, and friends, all of whom she cared deeply for, remember her with affection.

Sandi was always a great impact on everyone who knew her, and she would cheerfully provide a helping hand to anybody and everyone who needed it. Sandi worked for a very long time at the Canadian Wildlife Federation, where she held a variety of jobs over the course of her career, including that of Director of Marketing. Sandi’s passion for gardening was through in every one of her breathtaking flower bed she had created.
