Sheldon Holt Obituary, In Loving Memory Of Sheldon Holt
- by James Lucas
Sheldon Holt Obituary, Death Cause – Sheldon Holt, who had been a member of the Kotara Bears for his whole life, passed away yesterday. We are saddened to share the news of his demise with the Kotara Bears community and would like to thank you for giving us this chance. I must break the news to you with a heavy heart that this is the path that we will continue to take moving forward. Since the very beginning of our second division team’s existence, Sheldon has been actively involved in the management of our second division squad in a broad range of ways. This involvement spans the whole spectrum of possible management responsibilities.
Prior to the beginning of the game, we are going to make a call to the Waratah Football Club in an effort to coordinate a moment of silence in honor of Sheldon and to pay our respects to him. The action here will take place before the start of the game. Pettigrew’s Mayfield West will be the location for both the wake and the funeral ceremony for Sheldon on Friday, May 19, at noon.
It would have been wonderful if he had been able to join us for our Old Boys Days at Bear Park, which he always supported passionately by his participation. Unfortunately, he was unable to do so. On the 20th of May, when our girls league tag team competes against Waratah, the players will all be wearing black arm bands as a mark of respect for Sheldon, who passed away recently. The competition is going to go forward as planned.
Both events will take place in Sheldon’s honor. Pettigrew’s will serve as the location of his afterlife, if one can speak about it that way. The wake will be hosted at the Hamilton North bowling club, and it will get underway as soon as the funeral service is over. The wake will be held in the immediate aftermath of the funeral service.
I am appreciative that you were able to make it here today.
