Shooting In Cork Today – Around 5 in the morning, the incident took place in Wilton, and not long after it, the man rushed to the emergency room of the Cork University Hospital. The man’s condition at the CUH has not evolved since we last checked in on him. The Garda is currently conducting an investigation into the events that led up to the incident, and they are appealing for witnesses who were in the Wilton area between the hours of 5 and 5:45 this morning.

Anyone who believes they may have seen something strange is strongly encouraged to get in touch with the Garda investigating the incident. Gardai have issued a request to motorists who are in possession of dashboard cameras to provide them with footage that they have recorded on their devices. Anyone who believes they may have information on this occurrence is urged to get in touch with the Togher Garda Station or any other Garda station. A spokeswoman for the Garda has issued the following statement in response to recent events:

“Garda are investigating all the circumstances in relation to a man who presented himself with gunshot wounds at Cork University Hospital this morning shortly after 5 a.m. on Friday, May 12th, 2023.” Since the individual was brought into the care of the medical staff at Cork University Hospital, there has been no change in his condition. Anyone who was in the Wilton neighborhood of Cork City on Friday morning between the hours of 5 and 5.45 a.m. and who may have noticed anything
