Theresa Lollar Obituary, Death, Funeral And Visitation

At the age of 79, Theresa Reed Lollar, who resided in Columbus, Mississippi, passed away at Baptist Memorial Hospital on May 1, 2023. Funeral services will be held at the Memorial Gunter Peel Chapel on Sunday, May 7, 2023 at 2:00 PM, and Reverend Curtis Bray will preside over the ceremony. The funeral service will be followed by a private family burial in the Columbus Memorial Gardens. The viewing will begin at one in the afternoon and continue up to the time of the service.

Mrs. Lollar was born in Oxford, Mississippi on June 12, 1943. Her parents, Harvey William Reed and Beulah Fay Harmon Reed, Sr., have since passed away. She attended S. D. Lee High School and went on to study at Mississippi University for Women after graduating from high school. After beginning her career as an operator at Bellsouth, Mrs. Lollar went on to spend the next 19 years working at Pepsi. After that, she spent some time as a dispatcher for 911, and then she moved on to a job in human resources at Johnston Tombigbee, where she stayed for 23 years. Mrs. Lollar was a devout attendee of First Baptist Church in their community.

Her brother, Harvey William Reed Jr., passed away before she did, following in the footsteps of both of her parents. Her daughters, Gina Double (Christophe) of Soisy Bouy, France, and Jennifer Garrard of Columbus, Mississippi, as well as her grandsons, Blaine Garrard (Michelle Schantz), and Paxton Garrard, are among those who have survived her passing. Donations in lieu of flowers can be sent to the Lowndes County Humane Society at P.O. Box 85, Columbus, Mississippi 39703 or to Helping Hands at P.O. Box 1241, Columbus, Mississippi 39703. Both organizations are located in Columbus.
