Tom Wetherall Obituary, Tom Wetherall Has Passed Away

Tom Wetherall Obituary, Death Cause – The death has occurred of the most incredible individual who ever lived. Thomas “Tom” A. Wetherell was born on a day that was considered to be fortunate for everyone on Friday, July 13, 1928, and he passed away on a lovely autumn day on Tuesday, October 1, 2019. At Highland Park Hospital in Wayne County, Michigan, Margaret (Hicks) and Thomas C. Wetherell gave birth to their child. During the Korean War, Tom was a soldier in the United States Army. His position within the command was that of Supply Sargent. In addition to that, he played hockey while serving in the military.

Because Tom is such a skilled hockey player, the Bay City Warriors, a team in the lower leagues, were able to provide the Detroit Red Wings with a challenging workout when they practiced with them. Tom served as the goalkeeper for the Bay City Warriors. After that, he worked for the National Hockey League as a statistician at the Olympia arena in Detroit, Michigan. Fran, his wife, joked that the couple was so close to having their first child in that region!

Tom was a well-respected businessman who managed the regional warehouses for PPG’s automotive paint division. After 42 years of service to the company, he finally settled down in Delaware, Ohio, after having lived in Detroit, Michigan, and Minneapolis, Minnesota during his career. At the age of 59, he decided to hang up his boots. After Tom retired, one of his favorite activities was playing golf, and he even managed to get a few “hole in ones.” In addition to that, he thoroughly enjoyed going fishing in Canada, cruising with Fran to the Caribbean, and gambling at casinos. He was a caller at the Elks Bingo games and also belonged to the American Legion.

We were blessed with a kind-hearted husband, father, grandfather, guide, and greatest friend all rolled into one. The time has come for him to answer God’s summons and join him in heaven. This is not easy; in fact, it is the most difficult thing that any member of his family has ever been required to accomplish. We are beyond fortunate and glad to have had the love of this man for such a long period as well as so many amazing years, pleasant occasions, and life experiences. Because of him, we have become the loving and supportive family that we are today. He instilled in us the values of valiance, compassion, and generosity. An incredible man who has and always will hold a special place in our hearts.
